What to Wear
We recommend warm clothing that allows freedom
of movement, and gloves or mittens. We also require
that Snowplow Sam and Hockey skaters (ages 3-6)
wear helmets (bike or hockey) . For all classes, please
allow at least 15 minutes to put on your child's skates.
A basic  quality skate is highly recommended!   We provide the rink "rental skates" free of charge for the lessons.  Basic 4 and above are recommended to have their own skates.  The SWFSC has  huge supply of high quality used skates at a minimal cost.  Please check with Mrs Sue Cook  sue_cook@charter.net  to set a time to check fit and quality.  Alternatively, you may either purchase or rent from Crossovers Pro shop at Madison Ice Arena, Verona Ice Arena or Waunakee Ice Arena.  This shop has either a 6 month rental program or one can purchase new skates of the quality we recommend at affordable prices.
